for the Alzheimer’s Association Summer Concert at Kickapoo Creek Winery
The Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to eliminating Alzheimer's disease through advancing research, providing and enhancing care and support for all affected, and reducing the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. In late July, GEN U will be helping with their summer concert event at Kickapoo Creek Winery. We will help direct traffic, collect money as guests come in, and anything else they need to ensure their event is a success. The shifts are 11:30 am - 3 pm and 3-4 pm.

August 11 from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Heartland Community Health Clinic, 1701 W. Garden, Peoria
In operation since 2004, Heartland Community Health Clinic serves low-income adults and children and the greatest percentage of minorities, uninsured, medically indigent and homeless within the city of Peoria and the larger Tri-county region. On August 11, GEN U will volunteer to help with some landscaping and general clean up around their Garden Street facility.

Friendship House Maka Maka Fun Run at Maui Jim, 8300 N. Allen Rd., Peoria
Maka Maka is 3-mile fun run/1.5 mile walk to benefit the Peoria Friendship House. All proceeds go to Friendship House, helping people through programs such as a soup kitchen, food pantry, tutoring and mentoring for at risk youth, teaching English, providing supplies for mothers and babies and Dress for Success Peoria. 20-25 volunteers are needed to be course monitors during the race to guide participants in the right direction and cheer them on. Volunteers will receive a Maui Jim t-shirt and admittance to the post-race party (pizza and beverages provided).

FRIENDS of PWA Bingo at the Community Bingo Center, 3214 N. Dries Ln., Peoria
FRIENDS of PWA was formed in 1990 as a volunteer-driven agency to help make life better for those with HIV/AIDS. Currently, FRIENDS serves 15 counties surrounding Peoria. Funds raised at Bingo on Thursday nights help individuals and families in critical situation such as eviction notices, utility disconnects, transportation to and from medical appointments, medications, and food. GEN U will volunteer to help facilitate Bingo this August.
The following shifts are available: 2:00-4:00 p.m., 4:00-7:00 p.m. or 7:00-9:30 p.m. Please indicate which shift/shifts you would like to help with when you RSVP by August 20.
